I will go into the total analysis of the day in a future post - when we have some extra time. Needless to say, it was a long day - starting at 3:00pm on Sunday, and culminating at 4:55am on Monday morning.
But...the biggest change from Karter's birth to Kaden's was that Kaden was born via c-section.
This was quite the process - and a pretty nerve wracking one for me. When they wheeled Dana away into the operating room by herself for a good 30-45 minutes, it was a pretty tense time. Let's just say that I had God on my speed dial at that point. I did get to see Kaden being born and take his first breaths.
Here are some pictures of those last and first crucial minutes of the birth:
Dana - During surgery...
Mommy, Daddy, and Kaden - Right after the birth...
All cleaned up...8lbs. 10oz. and 20.75 inches long...

Thanks for the updates! Kristoffer at first glance Kaden looks like you. Congrats once again from Aunt Emmy and Uncle Zach!
I was so praying it wouldn't come to that for you. It's such a traumatic experience and I'm sure not at all what you were expecting. But if mom and baby are happy and well now that is the most important thing.
