Afternoon with Friends

Yesterday after church we drove up to Savage to have lunch and visit with some of our friends from our old church, the Davis'. When we started going to our old church we became instant friends with Brian and Mary, and their daughter, Martha, was one of our youth and she has been the only person (besides family) that we have let watch Karter! We try to stay in touch now that we don't see them weekly, and we get together every couple of months.
They invited us over for a delicious meal and a fun afternoon watching Karter explore all of their beautiful decorations. They have this perfect Karter-sized chair that he thought was pretty cool to sit in, and a Santa that says "ho, ho, ho" when you squeeze his tummy, so of course he was attached to that!

Karter has been making a little habit of waking up at 5am and being ready to start his day. So after an early morning and a long afternoon of playing without a nap he was pretty tired when we got home last night. He fell asleep in the car, but we didn't want him to not want to go to bed so we didn't let him sleep long. While daddy was fixing us a quick dinner, Karter and I enjoyed some cuddle time on the couch, we were both pretty tired! We had a great Sunday with friends and a relaxing evening snuggling together!

Dana,

Can't wait for Karter & Jonah to see the chair Great Grandma brought down for them! Remember the little blue rock?
